Home Sales In New England Down and Pending Sales Up

Natick, MA – February 18, 2014 – The RE/MAX of New England January Monthly Housing Report reflects the winter slowdown in home sales across the region. Every state except Rhode Island and Vermont experienced a dip in sales year-over-year. On average, median prices throughout New England were up 9.9% and pending sales hit double-digit increases, rising 28.1%.

“As the snow continues to accumulate in New England, we will experience the effects of home buyers temporarily putting their efforts on hold,” said Dan Breault, EVP/Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. “When we turn the corner on the weather, we will see renewed activity in the market.”  To read to complete report, click here…
